This article will guide you on how to run a Site Audit with Ubersuggest so you can quickly identify and fix issues that may impact your SEO performance.
A site audit is a critical step in optimizing your website. It helps uncover problems that could lower your search engine rankings and highlights opportunities to improve. This includes analyzing aspects such as site structure, meta tags, content quality, page speed, and mobile-friendliness.
By addressing these areas, you can improve visibility, boost usability, and strengthen your overall SEO, leading to higher rankings, increased organic traffic, and a better user experience.
Even a small SEO mistake can be the difference between ranking on the first page of Google or not being found at all. A well-optimized site is easier for Google to crawl, loads faster, and keeps visitors engaged longer.
Since Google’s algorithm is always evolving, keeping your site error-free and up to date is essential.
That’s why Ubersuggest’s SEO Site Audit is so valuable. It automates the process, showing you exactly what needs attention and how to fix it. By following a few simple steps, you can run an audit and keep your SEO in top shape.
Running the Site Audit
Go to the Site Audit page.
In the left-hand menu, select the project you want to audit.
To refresh an existing report, click the Recrawl Website button in the top-right corner.
3. To audit a different website, click the pencil icon, enter the domain/URL, and generate a new report.

Analyzing the Results of a Site Audit
Once the site audit is complete, a detailed report will appear below. The first section provides a broad overview of your website’s health, showing pages crawled and their status, critical errors, warnings, and recommendations.
The Pages Discovered section displays the total number of pages crawled, broken down by status such as successful, redirected, broken, or blocked pages. For more details, you can click See All Pages to review each page individually and understand its specific status. You can save the list of pages and their respective status by clicking Export to CSV.
The SEO Issues Discovered section highlights problems identified during the crawl, including duplicate content, low word count, unlinked pagination pages, and excess redirects. To explore these findings further, click See All SEO Issues.
Click each tab to see errors specific to that category’s SEO issues. Each issue is ranked by the difficulty of fixing it and the potential SEO impact if resolved. For practical guidance, click What is this, and how do I fix it? to view explanations and recommended solutions. If you’d like to save a copy of the results, you can click Export to CSV to download a spreadsheet with the complete list of SEO issues.
The second section of the report provides a breakdown of site speed for both desktop and mobile.
Use the orange toggle to switch between the two views and compare performance across devices.
After running the Site Audit report, it’s time to address the issues and optimize the site.
Once the issues are fixed, you can return to the Site Audit Overview and click Recrawl Website. This will re-scan your site to verify whether errors have been resolved and check for any new issues.
Why Is It Important to Fix the SEO Issues?
Fixing SEO issues is crucial for the long-term success of your website. Here’s why:
Improved visibility: Higher rankings in search results mean more organic traffic and a greater reach.
Better user experience: A faster, mobile-friendly, and well-structured site reduces bounce rates and increases engagement.
Trust and credibility: Search engines reward optimized sites, and visitors are more likely to trust and return to a site that feels professional.
In short, fixing SEO issues helps drive growth, improve user satisfaction, and ensure sustainable success.
