The Ubersuggest WordPress plugin lets you run SEO Site Audits and apply AI-generated fixes directly from your WordPress admin, without switching to a separate tool.
This article explains what the plugin does, walks through installing and connecting it, and shows how to run a Site Audit, apply AI fixes, and validate your results. Each section covers what you'll see and what happens at each step.
What You Get
Everything from the Ubersuggest Site Audit, built into your WordPress dashboard:
- Site Audit inside WordPress. See your SEO score, crawled pages, and issues grouped into errors, warnings, and recommendations. These are the same numbers you see on the Ubersuggest dashboard.
- AI-powered one-click fixes. Fix missing meta descriptions, titles, and H1s with a before-and-after preview. Regenerate or edit any suggestion before applying it.
- Recrawl and validate. Recrawl your site to verify fixes. Resolved issues drop off the list automatically, and your totals stay accurate.
- Works with your SEO plugins. Compatible with Yoast SEO and Rank Math, so you can keep your current setup.
- Secure sign-in. Connect with your Ubersuggest account through a secure login, with no API keys to copy or manage.
Step 1: Install the Plugin
WordPress has two ways to install plugins, and the steps differ slightly depending on your setup.
If you're using WordPress.com or have standard admin access to a self-hosted site:
- In your WordPress Admin Panel, go to Plugins > Add Plugin.
- Search for "Ubersuggest." Once you find the Ubersuggest SEO Tools plugin, click Install Now.
- After install, click Activate.
If you have a self-hosted (WordPress.org) site and prefer a manual install:
Download the plugin and unzip it into your site's wp-content/plugins/ folder.
💡 Tip: Enable auto-updates for the Ubersuggest SEO Tools plugin so it keeps working smoothly with upcoming updates and new features.
You can also get to the plugin from inside Ubersuggest: go to Apps & Integrations and click Learn More on the WordPress card, or open More Tools in the sidebar and select WordPress Plugin.
Step 2: Connect Your Account
- Open the Ubersuggest plugin from your WordPress admin menu.
- Click to sign in with your Ubersuggest account.
- Approve the secure login. You won't need to copy or manage any API keys, since the plugin connects directly to your account.
Step 3: Run a Site Audit
- From the plugin's dashboard, start a Site Audit.
- Ubersuggest crawls your site and returns your SEO score, crawled pages, and issues.
- Review issues grouped into errors, warnings, and recommendations. These match the numbers you'd see in your Ubersuggest dashboard.
- While you're there, check the Site Speed section for desktop and mobile performance scores, including load time, responsiveness, and visual stability.
Step 4: Apply AI-Powered Fixes
- Open an issue such as a missing meta description, a title problem, or a missing H1.
- Click Generate on the affected page to create an AI-powered fix. The credit cost is shown before you generate, so you always know what it will cost.
- Review the before-and-after preview. You can regenerate or edit the suggestion before applying it.
- Click to apply the fix. The page updates immediately and is marked Fixed, without needing a full page refresh. The issue panel stays open so you can keep fixing other issues.
If you don't have enough credits to generate a fix, the plugin shows a warning instead of letting the request fail silently.
Step 5: Recrawl and Validate
- After applying fixes, click Recrawl to rescan your site and confirm the issues are resolved. Recrawls have a 1-minute cooldown between runs.
- Resolved issues automatically drop off your Site Audit issue list, and your issue counters stay accurate.
- If you only need to confirm a single page, you can re-check that page instead of recrawling your whole site. This updates just that page's status without affecting the rest of your crawl data.
Compatibility Notes
- The plugin works alongside Yoast SEO and Rank Math, so you can keep your current SEO plugin setup without duplicate tags.
- Fixes like slug, H1, visibility, and title/description changes are saved directly to your site's database, so they persist even if you later remove the plugin. On most hosts, the plugin also keeps serving meta tags, redirects, and your sitemap after removal; this isn't available on hosts that don't allow writing new files to your site.
You're Ready to Improve Your WordPress SEO
With the plugin installed and connected, you can:
- Run Site Audits without leaving WordPress
- Generate and apply AI-powered fixes with a before-and-after preview
- Track Site Speed scores for desktop and mobile
- Recrawl to confirm fixes and keep your issue counts accurate
